Going up? Going down? You never know sometimes. The early evening sun burning through the windows and illuminating these stairs made time stand still for me.

After the water receeded with the tide along a portion of the Vancouver Seawall I found this spot. I walked down the steps and turned to find this poetic image, what appeared to be stairs leading into a wall. The high contrast processing brings out the surface moss patterns.

An homage to Mary Ellen Mark.

Surrounded by water and scraping the sky, this well-worn mountain in Malta had a transcendent feeling about it.
